"The Marziano Abbona Barbaresco is sourced from two historic Barbaresco Crus, ""Faset"" (60%) and ""San Lorenzo"" (40%). Both vineyards have southern exposures with soils made up primarily of lime and chalk. Average vine age is 20 to 40 years old. Grapes are sorted and destemmed prior to vinification in rotating stainless steel fermenters. Following malolactic fermentation the wine is racked and aged for 12 months in 500 liter tonneaux and an additional 12 months in small 30hl French oak cask."
