Labor Day Drink Ideas

End of summer is almost here and Labor Day is approaching fast. Here are some drink ideas that might help your last summer BBQ or Labor Day party. These drinks have simple ingredients and are pretty simple to make.

Labor Day Tequila Sunrise Drink Recipe

This drink has great color and reminds me of a nice sunrise. To make this recipe you need:

  • ½ limes
  • ½ oz of tequila
  • 1 teaspoon of grenadine
  • 1/3 teaspoon crème de cassis

Just fill your glass with ice and squeeze the lime on the ice. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Fill up the rest of the glass with soda water. Throw the remaining part of the lime in the drink and drink up.

Summer Sunset Drink

Great to serve in a martini glass and garnished with a pineapple wedge

  • 1 oz. Three Olives Pomegranate Vodka
  • 1 oz. Absolute Mango Vodka
  • ½ oz. Ciroc Coconut Rum
  • 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz. Cranberry Juice

Shake in a shaker with ice and strain into a glass, Enjoy!!

Labor Day Mojito Drink Recipe

  • 1½ oz. Light Rum
  • 1oz. Lime Juice
  • 1 Tsp. Super Fine Sugar
  • 3-4 mint leaves
  • Club Soda

Combine lime juice, mint and sugar in a Collins or highball glass. Crush the mint leaves with your spoon. Fill the glass with ice and add the rest. Top with soda and stir.

Blue Lagoon Drink Recipe

A classic summer cocktail that looks delicious.

  • 1oz. Vodka
  • 1oz. Curacao
  • 4oz. lemonade
  • 1 cherry
  • 1 lemon slice

Pour Vodka and Curacao over ice in a highball glass, fill with lemonade and top with cherry and lemon slice.

Rose Sangria Drink Recipe

This cocktail is a remake on a Spanish favorite. Created by bartender Tina Madden, this drink has light flavors and is perfect for a farewell to summer Labor day party.

  • ½ oz. Simple Syrup (sugar dissolved in water can be substituted)
  • ½ oz. Rum
  • 6 oz. Rose Wine
  • Slices of fruit like pineapple, strawberries and oranges.

Add all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake once and pour into a tall glass.
