The onset of the growing season saw limited winter precipitation and a gentle spring. Faced with drought challenges across California, we meticulously adjusted our vineyard techniques to achieve optimal crop balance. Experiencing slightly higher temperatures, budbreak occurred approximately two weeks earlier in our North Coast vineyards compared to the cooler Central Coast. Consequently, the North Coast harvest concluded on October 15th, while the Central Coast harvest finished on November 6th. In both regions, the berries and clusters displayed smaller sizes than usual, leading to reduced yields but intensifying flavors, aromas, and textures. The resulting wines boast exceptional quality, showcasing delightful equilibrium, outstanding natural acidity, and vibrant, succulent flavors.
