Dom Pérignon Rosé 2015 Takashi Murakami Limited Edition
Enter the world where fine art meets fine champagne. The Dom Pérignon Rosé 2015 Takashi Murakami Edition is an extraordinary collaboration between the legendary Champagne house and one of Japan’s most celebrated contemporary artists. Known for his playful, vibrant “superflat” style, Murakami transforms the timeless Dom Pérignon bottle into a work of art — while the 2015 vintage within stands as one of the most expressive and luxurious rosés ever produced by the maison.
Dom Pérignon has long been synonymous with the art of creation. Each vintage is a singular expression of the year — never replicated, always distinct. In 2015, a warm, balanced growing season yielded fruit of exceptional maturity, perfect for crafting a rosé that embodies both power and elegance. Takashi Murakami’s artistic vision perfectly complements this spirit of innovation. His smiling flowers — symbols of happiness and harmony — wrap the label in joy, transforming every bottle into a collectible piece of design.
This rosé reveals the daring side of Dom Pérignon. Crafted primarily from Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay providing structure and lift, it captures the radiant energy of the 2015 harvest. After more than ten years of maturation in the cellars of Épernay, the champagne has evolved into something profound — deep in color, layered in aroma, and luxurious in texture.
The nose is immediately captivating: wild strawberries, cherries, and raspberries intermingle with notes of blood orange, cocoa, and a touch of smoky minerality. As it opens, subtle hints of fig, spice, and toasted almond emerge, revealing the champagne’s depth and complexity.
On the palate, Dom Pérignon Rosé 2015 delivers a symphony of contrasts. Bright red fruit and citrus zest meet creamy texture and savory undertones. It is powerful yet precise, full-bodied yet ethereal, with a fine, persistent mousse. The finish is long and lingering, echoing flavors of dried fruit, rose petals, and chalky minerality. Every sip invites reflection — a signature trait of Dom Pérignon’s greatest vintages.
Rosé at Dom Pérignon is not an afterthought; it is a declaration of artistic intent. To make it, the winemakers begin with the still red wines of Pinot Noir, vinified separately to achieve perfect color and structure before blending. The result is an exquisite harmony between fruit intensity and refined freshness. The champagne then spends over a decade aging on its lees, allowing the flavors to integrate and the texture to develop its signature silkiness.
The 2015 vintage, while generous and expressive, remains faithful to the house’s commitment to balance and precision. Each element — from the grape selection to the final disgorgement — was guided by the philosophy that true luxury lies in restraint and time.
Takashi Murakami’s reinterpretation of Dom Pérignon’s iconic shield is a masterstroke. His cheerful, multicolored flowers — emblematic of positivity and life — surround the label, symbolizing the joy of creation. The bottle is presented in a specially designed gift box that blends Murakami’s art with Dom Pérignon’s classic aesthetic, making it a must-have for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
This collaboration follows the artist’s earlier work with Dom Pérignon, but the Rosé 2015 Edition stands apart for its energy, vibrancy, and emotional resonance. It’s not just champagne — it’s an experience that bridges luxury, art, and emotion in one radiant package.
Dom Pérignon Rosé 2015 is a celebration in itself, but it also elevates dining experiences with its versatility. The wine’s structure and depth make it ideal for pairing with fine cuisine:
Seafood: Grilled lobster, seared scallops, or tuna tartare bring out its saline freshness.
Poultry & Game: Duck breast, quail, or lamb enhance its red fruit intensity.
Truffle & Umami Dishes: Risotto, mushroom dishes, or wagyu beef highlight its earthy undertones.
Whether served as the centerpiece at a celebration, gifted to mark a milestone, or collected as an investment in beauty and taste, this vintage embodies sophistication and rarity.
Color: Deep salmon-pink with copper reflections
Aroma: Wild berries, citrus zest, cocoa, and exotic spices
Palate: Velvety texture, bold fruit core, mineral-driven finish
The Dom Pérignon x Takashi Murakami Edition represents a shared philosophy: the pursuit of creation as an act of transformation. Just as Murakami’s art blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with pop culture vibrancy, Dom Pérignon transforms the elements of nature — sunlight, soil, grapes, and time — into pure sensory emotion. Both artist and winemaker share an obsession with detail, balance, and harmony, resulting in a masterpiece that transcends its category.
Produced in strictly limited quantities, the Dom Pérignon Rosé 2015 Takashi Murakami Edition is destined to become a collector’s treasure. Each bottle is not only a toast to creative excellence but also a testament to craftsmanship and time. For art lovers, wine enthusiasts, and those who value the extraordinary, it represents a moment where culture, luxury, and celebration converge.
In every bottle, Dom Pérignon invites you to taste the impossible — to experience beauty reborn through the fusion of art and champagne.
