El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2023 is a high-altitude Argentine red from Gualtallary, in Mendoza's Uco Valley. It is made by Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena from vineyards at roughly 4,600 to 4,850 feet, on rocky, chalky soils.
The blend is 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Malbec, aged 16 months in French oak, 20% of it new.
In the glass it is ruby red with violet tones. The nose shows juicy plum, raspberry, ripe currant and cassis, with black pepper, clove and tobacco leaf. The palate is medium-bodied, elegant and balanced, with cedar and vanilla, supple tannins, fresh acidity and a persistent finish.
Pair it with smoky barbecue, herb-roasted pork, lentil stew or eggplant Parmesan.

"Another one of the more impressive offerings among the El Enemigo bottlings, the 2023 Cabernet Franc includes 10% Malbec, both drawn from Adrianna Vineyard and aged in a mix of foudre, barrels and stainless steel." |

"A fruity cabernet franc with aromas of ripe black cherries, currants and hints of tobacco, dark olives and spices. Sappy and deliciously fruity, with a medium body, a juicy core of fruit and fine, linear tannins." |

"Blended with 10% Malbec – varietal reds are unusual at El Enemigo – this is a co-fermentation from the Adrianna Vineyard and the Dutre family's estate, both in Gualtallary." |
