"There’s a lot of fresh oak here, but enough ripe red fruit and balanced acidity to take it on. Medium-to full-bodied with a silky start to the palate and a persistent core of ripe fruit. Long finish, driven mostly by firm oak tannin. This does what it sets out to do and fans of this oaky style will love it. It’s not overly complex, but clean-cut and well made."
