Aberlour 12 Year is a double cask matured Speyside single malt from the Aberlour Distillery, which sits where the Lour burn meets the River Spey. It brings together whisky matured in traditional oak and in sherry butts.

Aberlour's new spirit is crisp and citrusy, and the sherry casks soften it. It shows red apple, blackcurrant and toffee on the nose, then caramel, sweet spice and a little smoke, drying to cocoa and orange peel on the finish. Water brings out more oak.
