Bhakta 50 Year is a series of 38 single barrels, each a blend of eight Armagnac vintages from 1868 to 1970 that always includes both of those years. Barrel No. 4 is one of them. The blends were briefly finished in Islay Scotch casks, so they are sold as brandy rather than Armagnac.
Bhakta Spirits was founded by Raj Bhakta, the founder of WhistlePig rye, after he bought a château in Gascony with its stock of very old Armagnac. Each barrel differs in strength and character, so read the label for this one's details.
