ChocoVine Chocolate Wine 750ml

ChocoVine is made by De Kuyper, the Dutch liqueur house based in Schiedam, in the Netherlands. In the US it is imported by Royal Dutch Distillers in Miami, a De Kuyper company. The ChocoVine line also includes Dark Chocolate, Whipped Cream, Raspberry and Espresso versions; this is the Original.

It blends French Cabernet Sauvignon with Dutch chocolate and, according to retailer The Liquor Barn, Holland cream. Because the base is wine rather than a distilled spirit, it sits closer to a dessert wine than to a cream liqueur. It is 14% alcohol.

The Liquor Barn describes it as a sweet, creamy dessert wine.

Against Jam Jar Sweet White, ChocoVine is a chocolate-and-cream dessert wine rather than a sweet white; for an after-dinner treat or a holiday cocktail, choose ChocoVine.

The brand says to serve it with or without ice, and The Liquor Barn suggests pouring it well chilled or mixing it into cocktails. Try it with strawberries, brownies or vanilla ice cream, or shake it with ice for a quick chocolate martini.
