Fishers Island Lemonade Original

Fishers Island Lemonade was founded by Bronya Shillo and launched on Memorial Day 2014. The recipe comes from the FIL, the house cocktail at The Pequot Inn on Fishers Island, New York, which her family owned and ran. It is made in Canandaigua, New York.

This is the Original flavor, built on real spirits rather than malt: premium vodka and barrel-aged whiskey with lemon, honey and natural flavors. It is 9% alcohol, the strongest in the line; the brand's Fizz is the lighter 5% version. Sold here as a single 12oz (355ml) can or a 4-pack.

It tastes like a classic lemonade with a spirited kick: tart lemon, soft honey and a warm whiskey finish.

Against Surfside Lemonade and Vodka, Fishers Island adds barrel-aged whiskey and honey to its vodka and runs stronger; for a fuller lemonade cocktail with a whiskey backbone, choose Fishers Island.

Chill it well and pour over plenty of ice in a tall glass, since melting ice gently softens a 9% drink.
