Grand Marnier Cuvee Louis-Alexandre Liqueur 750ml

Grand Marnier created the Cuvée Louis-Alexandre in 1977 and named it for Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle, who first blended Cognac with bitter orange in 1880. It is 82% VSOP Cognac, aged in Tronçais oak, and 18% orange liqueur, bottled at 40%.

It drinks more like a brandy than a liqueur: velvety and round, with candied orange and marzipan on the nose, honey, dried fruit and baking spice on the palate, and orange zest on a long finish.

Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge is the one for mixing. Buy the Louis-Alexandre to sip after dinner, or as a gift for a Cognac drinker.
