Hpnotiq Liqueur

Hpnotiq gets its pale aqua color from a blend of tropical fruit juices, French vodka and a touch of cognac, bottled at 17%. Raphael Yakoby created it, it went on sale in 2001, and Heaven Hill has owned the brand since 2003.

It is sweet, light and fruit-forward, and the low strength makes it easy to pour long over ice or into a punch.

If you want a tropical liqueur that tastes of real fruit, Chinola Passion Fruit is the better buy. Hpnotiq is the pick when the color is part of the point: a party punch, a blue-green cocktail or a round of shots.

Hpnotiq's own recipes include Hpno and cognac over ice and the Hpnotini, shaken with vodka. It also works topped with sparkling wine or lemon-lime soda.
