Johnnie Walker King George V Blended Scotch Whisky 750ml

Johnnie Walker King George V honours the king who granted the company its first Royal Warrant in 1934. The blenders went into the archives and chose whiskies from distilleries that were working during his reign, including some from the long-closed Port Ellen distillery on Islay.

Port Ellen sets the tone: sweet, smoky aromas, then orange, raisin, fig and cinnamon. The palate is rich with dried fruit and spice from Speyside and Highland malts, balanced by vanilla, toffee, dark chocolate and roasted nuts, and the Port Ellen returns as a coastal smoke on the long finish. It's bottled at 43%.
