Ketel One Vodka

Ketel One is made by the Nolet family in Schiedam, the Netherlands, distillers since 1691. It is a wheat vodka made with both column and copper pot stills, launched in 1983 and bottled at 40%. Diageo co-owns the brand.

It is peppery on the nose, then smooth and balanced, with an almost botanical finish.

Ketel One is the bartender's wheat vodka for a crisp Martini. It has more pepper and structure than Grey Goose, for less money.

Use it in a Martini, a Moscow Mule or a vodka soda with lemon.

The Nolet family has run the distillery for eleven generations. Keep a bottle in the freezer for Martinis, and use it with olives or a lemon twist. It also makes an excellent Vesper with gin and Lillet.
