Pernod Anise 750ml

Pernod traces its roots to 1805, when Henri-Louis Pernod opened his distillery in Pontarlier, France, making absinthe. When absinthe was banned in France in 1915, the house turned to anise, and today Pernod Anise is bottled at 40%. The company merged with Ricard in 1975.

It is bright yellow-green and strongly anise-led, with a herbal edge, and it clouds when you add water. It is drier than anisette and lighter than absinthe, so it sits comfortably in the middle.
