Taylor Fladgate 30 Year Tawny Port 750ml

Taylor Fladgate, known in Portugal as Taylor's, is a Port house founded in 1692. Its aged tawnies run from 10 to 80 Years, cellared in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The 30 Year Old is a blend of selected red Ports from the eastern Douro Valley, matured in seasoned oak casks in the Gaia cellars. The house sets reserves aside every two to three years, and the casks that peak at around 30 years are blended for balance. It's 20% alcohol.

Taylor's describes a deep old-gold colour, dried fruit and honey over rich nutty aromas, and a silky, rich palate of caramel and nuts.

Against Taylor Fladgate 20 Year Tawny, the 30 Year carries ten more years on its age statement; for a milestone birthday or a special dinner, choose the 30 Year.

The house says it is ready to drink, needs no decanting and should be stored upright. Serve it slightly chilled, at 12 to 16°C, with figs, almonds, walnuts, dried fruit or crème brûlée.
