Tip Top Proper Cocktails Espresso Martini

Tip Top Proper Cocktails was founded in Atlanta in 2018 by Neal Cohen and Yoni Reisman, with recipes by Kimball House bartender Miles Macquarrie. The Espresso Martini, launched in November 2022, was made in collaboration with Counter Culture Coffee, the Durham, North Carolina roaster.

It's a real-spirit cocktail of vodka, Counter Culture's Big Trouble espresso blend and vanilla bean in a 100ml can. At 22% alcohol (44 proof), it's the lowest-proof can in the Tip Top line. We sell it as a single or a 4-pack.

The brand describes it as strong and smooth, with roasted coffee and a hint of vanilla bean.

Against Tip Top Cosmopolitan, the Espresso Martini is the richer, coffee-and-vanilla choice; for an after-dinner drink in place of dessert, choose the Espresso Martini.

Shaking is the secret. The brand says all you need is the can, some ice and a cocktail shaker: pour it over ice, shake hard to build the foam, and strain into a chilled coupe. Three coffee beans on top are the classic garnish.
