Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen is a 13-year-old straight bourbon from Widow Jane Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The bourbon is aged in oak, rested in Widow Jane's own rickhouse in Red Hook, and cut to proof with limestone-rich water from the Rosendale mines in upstate New York.
It is made a few barrels at a time, and no two lots are quite the same. The nose shows vanilla, black tea and brown sugar, with orange peel on the palate and soft oak on the finish. It began as a private barrel programme before becoming a year-round bottle.
For an older bourbon from a Brooklyn distillery, Lucky Thirteen is our pick. For a younger Widow Jane, choose Widow Jane 10 Year; for the oldest, see Widow Jane The Vaults 15 Year.
Sip it neat or with a single ice cube.
We carry it in the 750ml size, in limited quantities. More bottles are under bourbon, and the rest of our whiskey is a click away. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery across NYC.
