Château Ormes de Pez has been an integral part of the Médoc landscape since the 18th century. Situated to the west of Saint-Estèphe and adjacent to the hamlet of Pez, the estate draws its name from a once-magnificent grove of elm trees, which, although no longer present, still echoes its historic significance. Acquired by the Cazes family in 1939, Château Ormes de Pez became their second property following Château Lynch-Bages.

This vineyard, with its distinctive harmonious and spicy character, authentically reflects its terroir. Admired by wine enthusiasts for its opulence, elegance, and well-rounded structure, Château Ormes de Pez boasts a powerful, rich, and excellent tannic backbone that facilitates graceful aging.

Wine Enthusiat

"The estate is under the same ownership as Chateau Lynch-Bages in Pauillac. Rich and smoky, this sophisticated, rich wine has some serious tannins as well as black fruits. The wine shows great pedigree, with dark berry fruits and a firm, ageworthy structure. Drink from 2026."

Wine Spectator

"Fresh and racy, with a stream of violet and cassis flavors that is tightly focused. Pure, offering a minerally echo. Textbook."
