1800 Milenio is a 100% blue Weber agave extra añejo tequila from the town of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle with its gift box.
1800 first made Milenio in 2000 to mark the new millennium. It is made by Casa Cuervo and imported by Proximo Spirits. The tequila is aged in new American oak, then the best barrels are moved into French oak barrels that held Cognac for a final rest. It comes in the trapezoid 1800 bottle, said to recall the pyramids.
1800 describes a dark amber gold tequila with oak and vanilla, then vanilla, red fruit and cinnamon, with a mint-chocolate finish. The Beverage Testing Institute gives it 95 points, calling it complex and bold without being aggressive, and it won gold at the 2024 IWSC.
It is the top of the 1800 range, and a Cognac-finished extra añejo for under $250.
