Clase Azul was founded by Arturo Lomelí, whose company, Casa Tradición, is 100% Mexican-owned; its first bottles shipped in 2000. The agave is cooked in stone ovens, crushed with a roller mill, fermented with a proprietary yeast blend and distilled twice in copper pot stills.
Expect orange, lime leaf and spearmint on the nose, then vanilla, Meyer lemon, mint and green guava on a smooth, bright palate.
