Grand Mayan Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the central highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml ceramic decanter.
Grand Mayan is based in Guadalajara and brought to the US by M.S. Walker. The tequila rests up to eight months in American oak casks and French ex-Cognac barrels. Each cobalt-blue decanter is handmade and painted by artisans in Mexico City, with 24K gold appliqué applied by hand.
Grand Mayan describes fresh agave, sweet vanilla and rich chocolate with a long finish. Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman) gives it 89 points, finding almond and maple on the nose and smoked maple, vanilla bean and oak on the palate.
The decanter makes this one of our most giftable reposados.
Sip it neat or on a large ice cube.
