Clase Azul Día de Muertos Recuerdos is a limited-edition 100% agave añejo tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, released in 2025 and bottled at 40% alcohol in a 1-liter ceramic decanter.
It is the fifth and final edition of Clase Azul's Día de Muertos series, Nuestros Recuerdos. Master distiller Viridiana Tinoco blended tequilas aged 12 to 38 months in first-use American whiskey casks, with part of the agave cooked in a traditional pit oven. The ivory decanter carries an ofrenda design by Mexican artist Erika Rivera and a 24k gold-plated locket with an obsidian cameo, handmade by the Milagros de Latón brass workshop in Tesistán, Jalisco. Only 10,000 were made.
Expect cooked agave, smoked wood, orange peel, caramel and clove, then marmalade and cinnamon, with a long finish of toasted wood and citrus.
It closes the series begun in 2021; the 2022 chapter is Día de Muertos Colores.
