Montes Alpha Syrah 2018 750ml

Intense red colour with violet border. On the nose, the wine is potent without losing its elegance. There are clear notes of ripe black fruit like plum, fig and blueberry. There is also great complexity with candied aromas, both of fruit and sweet spices, like baked goods. The 12-months aging in barrels lends a nice level of toast, plus hints of vanilla and dulce de leche. On the palate, the tannins are smooth and well balanced with lots of structure and a long finish. It is begging to be paired with something to eat!
