Steve and Jill Matthiasson farm the organic Linda Vista Vineyard right behind their home in the cool west Oak Knoll area. The grapes are picked on eight separate dates, whole-cluster pressed, then fermented with native yeast and aged on the lees in seasoned French oak, with no new oak. Only a third of the barrels go through malolactic fermentation.
Expect Meyer lemon, Golden Delicious apple, yellow peach, musk melon and honey, with vibrant acidity, a light creaminess and a clean, mineral finish.
