Clase Azul Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, aged in oak and bottled at 40% alcohol in the brand's hand-painted ceramic decanter. We carry it in 200ml, 375ml and 750ml sizes.
Clase Azul was founded in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí and is 100% Mexican-owned. The agave is slow-cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill and distilled twice in copper pot stills, then aged for eight months in American white oak. Each decanter is shaped and hand-painted by artisans from the Mazahua community of Santa María Canchesdá, a process that takes at least two weeks.
Expect cooked agave and vanilla-spice barrel notes with creamy pastry and light pepper. Falstaff gives it 91 points.
It is the brand's best-known bottle and one of the most popular tequila gifts we sell; see all Clase Azul tequila.
Serve it neat, slightly chilled, in a small glass.
Shop more reposado tequila, top-shelf tequila and all tequila and mezcal, with Brooklyn pickup and same-day delivery across NYC.
