Patrón Silver is an unaged, 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the Los Altos highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol. Patrón says it adds nothing to change the taste, smell or color of its tequila, and Tequila Matchmaker verified the range as additive-free in 2020.
It is made at Hacienda Patrón in Atotonilco El Alto. The cooked agave is crushed two ways, with a traditional volcanic-stone tahona and a modern roller mill, and the two batches are blended after distillation in small copper pot stills. Each bottle is hand-numbered.
Expect fresh agave with citrus and light floral notes, then a smooth, sweet palate with a touch of pepper and a clean finish.
