G4 Añejo de Madera Día de Muertos 2025 is a 100% agave tequila from Jesús María, in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 43% alcohol in a 750ml bottle with a collectible wooden box (blue box).
G4 is made by Felipe Camarena at El Pandillo (NOM 1579), with estate spring water and collected rainwater. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, crushed by tahona, fermented in wooden tanks and distilled twice in copper pot stills. This añejo is aged 12 months in George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels. The Día de Muertos series comes in wooden boxes with papel picado art in several colors, all holding the same tequila; G4 was verified additive-free by Tequila Matchmaker in 2020.
Expect cooked agave, vanilla and oak, then caramel and dark chocolate with a long, creamy finish. Agave Matchmaker members rate it 91.
It is the first añejo in the series, after the 2023 and 2024 reposados, and stronger than the standard G4 Reposado.
