Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg is a Committee release made to honour Mickey Heads, Ardbeg's distillery manager for 13 years, on his retirement. It is bottled at 51.8% (103.6 proof).

Ardbeg on Islay makes some of the smokiest whisky in Scotland. This one was matured entirely in ex-rye whiskey casks, which add spice to the smoke. Gunpowder, smoked banana and pear lead into vanilla and rye on the nose, then a spicy, fruity palate with aniseed and smoked toffee, and a long, smoky finish. The pirate theme comes from Ardbeg calling Mickey the captain of the good ship Ardbeg.
