Mumm Grand Cordon Champagne Brut Rose 750ml

Mumm was founded in Reims in 1827 and has belonged to Pernod Ricard since 2005. Its bottles carry no paper front label: the red cordon is set into the glass. Yann Munier became cellar master in 2024.

Grand Cordon Rosé, once called Cordon Rouge Rosé, is 60% Pinot Noir, 22% Chardonnay and 18% Meunier. Its color comes from blending in still red wine, about 14% from the house's own vineyards according to retailers. It ages at least 20 months and is finished Brut.

Mumm describes a salmon-pink color with orange glints, strawberry, redcurrant, sweet spice and red-berry coulis, then fresh summer fruit and a long finish.

Compared with Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé, Mumm is fruitier and a little lighter; for a summer party, choose Mumm.

The house suggests it as an aperitif, or with gravlax, tacos, duck or raspberry tart.
