Malibu Black Rum 70 Proof 1L

Malibu Black is the stronger Malibu: a blend of dark rum and the original coconut liqueur, bottled at 35%, or 70 proof, compared with 21% for Malibu Coconut. It is made by Pernod Ricard and sold in a one-liter bottle.

It tastes of coconut and sweet dark rum, with more warmth and less sugar showing than the original.

Pick Malibu Black when regular Malibu tastes too light in a mixed drink. If you want coconut with a full-strength rum, mix a gold such as Mount Gay Eclipse with coconut water instead.

The brand suggests Malibu Black and cola over ice, or a Malibu Black Bite: a shot, followed by a lime wedge dipped in cinnamon sugar. It also works in a Piña Colada for a stronger version of the drink.
