Markovic Estates Semi Sweet Chardonnay

Markovic Estates is a family wine and spirits business based in New York, with European winemaking roots the family traces back to 1815. Its range includes several semi-sweet wines, and this Chardonnay is one of them.

Unlike most Chardonnay, which is dry, this one is made semi-sweet, so it's soft and fruity with a gentle sweetness. We carry it in a 750ml bottle and a 1.5L magnum.

The producer describes it as lush and smooth, with honeyed pear, melon and caramelized apple.

If you find most Chardonnay too dry or too oaky, this is the one to try. Against Yellow Tail, Markovic is noticeably sweeter; for a sweet-leaning white, choose Markovic.

Serve it well chilled. It pairs well with spicy food, fruit salads, soft cheeses and desserts that aren't too sweet, and it also works on its own as an aperitif.
