On the Bolgherese provincial road, in the heart of the best production of Bolgheri wines, the Folonari family cultivates about 7 hectares of Merlot destined for the production of Baia al Vento. A vineyard characterised by soils rich in minerals and iron that give structure, elegance and abundance of aroma. The Merlot grapes from Vallone dei Messi are very pleasant on the palate and characterised by a dense structure and the typical sensations of ripe red fruit that evolve and enrich through long refinement times. The vintage is characterised by a sensory redundancy: liquorice, thyme and wood aromas such as spices, tobacco and chocolate. A firmly structured, full-bodied and soft wine, but never expressing excesses towards sweetness, always with very velvety and silky tannins and a balanced alcohol content that matches with a great softness.
