Wanderlust Adventurous White is a German white wine from the Rhine. The LCBO, Ontario's wine retailer, says it is made by a family-run winery that also makes Black Tower, and Black Tower belongs to Reh Kendermann, a third-generation family firm. That link comes from the LCBO listing alone.
The LCBO describes it as a blend of aromatic white grape varieties, without naming them, and lists 16 grams per liter of residual sugar, so it's off-dry rather than bone-dry. No specific German growing region is given beyond the Rhine.
The LCBO describes it as floral and perfumed, with tropical fruit, citrus and grapefruit, a minerally, juicy palate and a crisp, lively finish.
Against Chateau Ste. Michelle Gewurztraminer, Wanderlust is the German multi-grape blend with tropical and citrus notes; for sushi night, choose Wanderlust.
The LCBO suggests sushi and light fish and recommends serving it chilled. Its touch of sweetness also suits spicy takeout, Thai noodles and fruit-based salads. Drink it young, while the aromatics are fresh.
