Baileys is the reason Irish cream exists as a category. It went on sale in November 1974, once David Gluckman and Matt McPherson had worked out how to hold fresh cream and spirit together without the cream souring. Half of every bottle is still cream, blended with Irish whiskey and cocoa, and it is all made in Ireland, at plants in Dublin and Belfast.
Cold from the fridge it is thick and sweet: milk chocolate, coffee with milk, a little nutty spice, then the whiskey right at the end.
Pouring for a crowd or filling a punch bowl? Brady's Irish Cream does the job for less than half the price. For a gift, or for coffee, a Mudslide or a softer Espresso Martini, buy the Baileys.
Serve it over ice or straight up and cold. Keep it away from citrus, tonic and wine, because acid curdles the cream right in the glass.
Every flavor we carry is on our Baileys Irish Cream page, and the rest of the shelf is under liqueurs and cordials. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery across NYC.
