Bota Box Nighthawk Black Cabernet Sauvignon 3L Box

Nighthawk is Bota Box's richer, premium boxed line, and this is its straight Cabernet, without the bourbon barrel. Bota Box now sells it as Nighthawk Bold Cabernet Sauvignon.

Bota Box Vineyards, part of Delicato Family Wines, makes it in Manteca, California. The 3L box holds about four bottles' worth and keeps fresh for about a month after opening.

The winery describes a bold wine with intense fruit, smooth, velvety tannins and a deep, dark color.

It's a step up from the regular Bota Box Cabernet. If you want the sweeter, toastier version, choose the Nighthawk Bourbon Barrel instead.

Bota Box suggests porterhouse steak or barbecue, and serving it grillside, fireside or campside. Pour it a little cool, around 60°F.
