Citadelle Gin

Citadelle is made in Cognac country, at Château de Bonbonnet in France, where Maison Ferrand has distilled it since 1996. Its 19 botanicals, including Sichuan pepper, violet, cardamom and orris, are infused separately, and the gin is distilled in direct-fired copper pot stills of the kind used for cognac.

Bottled at 44%, it is bright and zesty, with citrus, florals and warm spice and a dry finish.

The producer's serve is a gin and tonic with a strip of lemon zest. It also makes an excellent 50/50 Martini.
