Don Julio Reposado Tequila

Don Julio Reposado is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, aged in oak and bottled at 40% alcohol. We carry it in 50ml, 375ml, 750ml and 1.75L sizes.

It is made at Tequila Tres Magueyes (NOM 1449), the distillery Don Julio González founded in 1942; the brand is now owned by Diageo. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, crushed with a roller mill and distilled twice, then aged at least eight months in ex-bourbon American white oak casks.

Don Julio describes lemon citrus, spice and stone fruit, then dark chocolate, vanilla and light cinnamon, with a finish of dried fruit, nuts and caramel apple. Wine Enthusiast's Kara Newman notes a pretty floral, light vanilla scent.

It is one of the best-known reposados in the US and a step richer than a blanco without the heavy oak of an añejo.
