Gulp Hablo was launched in 2017 by the New York importer T. Edward Wines, co-founded by Tom Byrnes. The wine is made by the Parra Jiménez family at Bodegas Parra Jiménez in Castilla-La Mancha, founded in 1993, with Juan Antonio Ponce of Bodegas Ponce consulting.
The White, as the brand calls it, is 100% Verdejo from organic grapes, and the brand describes its farming as vegan, sustainable and biodynamic. Retailer The Good Pour adds native yeast, no fining and low sulfites. It comes in the brand's signature clear one-liter bottle, and the brand added cans in 2026. Retailers list it at 11.5 to 12% alcohol.
The winemaker's notes describe it as bright and crisp, with citrus, green apple, crushed rock and a hint of grass.
Against Gulp Hablo Rosé, the White is the same producer's crisp, grassy Verdejo; for a dry white rather than a pink, choose the White.
Serve it cold. The liter bottle and cans suit picnics, rooftops and weeknight dinners, and it works with salads, grilled shrimp or fish tacos.
