Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is the best-selling American whiskey in the world, made in Lynchburg, Tennessee. One extra step makes it Tennessee whiskey rather than bourbon.
Before it goes into the barrel, the new spirit is dripped slowly through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal, the Lincoln County Process, which strips out harshness and softens the grain. Then it's aged in new charred oak barrels. The result is sweet and mellow: vanilla, caramel and toasted oak, with a touch of banana and a light, dry finish. It's bottled at 40%.
It's the everyday bottle for a Jack and Coke or a shot at the bar. For a smoother, twice-mellowed version, try Gentleman Jack; for an older Jack to sip, there's the 10 Year.
The classic is a Jack and Coke: 1 1/2oz over ice, topped with cola and a lime wedge. It also makes a mellow Lynchburg Lemonade with triple sec, lemon juice and lemon-lime soda.
We carry it in every size from the 50ml mini to the 1.75L. The whole range is on our Jack Daniel's page, and more bottles are under Tennessee whiskey. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery across NYC.
