Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila

Jose Cuervo Gold, sold as Jose Cuervo Especial Gold, is a gold tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol. It comes in sizes from 50ml to 1.75L.

Jose Cuervo is the world's best-selling tequila brand and one of the oldest, made at La Rojeña distillery in the town of Tequila. Especial Gold blends reposado with younger tequila, giving it a light gold colour. It is a mixto, made with at least 51% blue agave (the legal minimum for tequila).

Cuervo describes sweet agave with subtle oak and vanilla and a short, smooth finish.

It is the classic low-cost margarita tequila. For a 100% agave tequila, try Jose Cuervo Tradicional.

Use it in frozen or on-the-rocks margaritas, or as a shot with salt and lime.
