Basil Hayden Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Basil Hayden is a high-rye bourbon bottled at 40% (80 proof), the lightest of Jim Beam's Small Batch Collection launched in 1992. It is named after Basil Hayden Sr., a Kentucky distiller of the late 1700s known for using extra rye in his mash.

The extra rye and lower proof make it light and approachable: honey, vanilla and charred oak, with a touch of pepper and dried fruit on a short, gentle finish.
