Codigo 1530 Rosa Blanco Tequila 750ml

Código 1530 Rosa Blanco is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Amatitán in Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.

It starts as Código 1530 Blanco, then rests for one month in uncharred French white oak barrels that previously held Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. That short rest gives the tequila its pale pink color naturally. Código 1530 was founded in 2016, with George Strait among its founders, and is majority owned by Pernod Ricard. Código says it adds nothing to change the taste: no chemicals, flavorings or sweeteners.

Código says the wine barrels add richness while keeping the blanco's delicate floral notes.

Compared with Código 1530 Blanco, the Rosa adds a light wine-barrel influence. It won a Gold medal at the 2021 SIP Awards.

Sip it chilled, or use it in a pink margarita or a paloma.
