Codigo 1530 Blanco Tequila 750ml

Código 1530 Blanco is a 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Amatitán in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.

Código 1530 was founded in 2016 by Ron Snyder, Federico Vaughan and George Strait, and Pernod Ricard took a majority stake in 2022. It is made at NOM 1616 from agave matured seven to ten years, cooked in a low-pressure autoclave, crushed with a roller mill and distilled twice in a stainless pot still. Código says it adds nothing to change the taste: no chemicals, flavorings or sweeteners.

The flavor runs to earthy minerality and citrus, clean and light with a touch of pepper.

This is the unrested base of the range; Código 1530 Rosa Blanco is the same blanco rested a month in Napa Cabernet barrels.
