Cimarron Blanco Tequila 1L

Cimarron Blanco is an unaged, 100% blue Weber agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 1-liter bottle.

It is made by master distiller Enrique Fonseca at the Tequileña distillery in the town of Tequila (NOM 1146), from estate-grown highland agave from Atotonilco El Alto, matured five to six years. The agave is slow-cooked for 24 hours in a low-pressure autoclave, crushed with screw and roller mills, fermented with deep-well water and distilled mostly in a copper column still with a little pot still. Its US importer, Skurnik, lists it as additive-free.

The profile is clean cooked agave, citrus and black pepper with an earthy, mineral edge and a crisp finish.

Bartenders love it as a house tequila: real highland agave flavor in a liter bottle at a well-drink price.
