Hardin's Creek Colonel James B. Beam is the first release in Hardin's Creek, the limited series from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky. It is a two-year-old bourbon bottled at 54% (108 proof).
Freddie Noe, Jim Beam's eighth-generation distiller, based it on the style of bourbon Colonel James B. Beam made on the 121st day after Prohibition ended, distilled at a low proof for a fuller flavour. Even young, it is rich and grainy, with sweet corn, caramel, vanilla and a peppery finish.
For a collectable young bourbon with a piece of Beam history, this is our pick. For an extra-aged Hardin's Creek, choose Hardin's Creek Jacob's Well; for a classic barrel-proof Beam bourbon, see Booker's.
Sip it neat or with a few drops of water.
We carry it in the 750ml size, in limited quantities. More bottles are under bourbon, and the rest of our whiskey is a click away. Pick it up at our Brooklyn store or get same-day delivery in Brooklyn, Manhattan & Queens.
