Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey 2025 Release 750ml

Shenk's Homestead is Michter's yearly sour mash whiskey, named for John Shenk, who founded the Pennsylvania distillery in 1753 that later became Michter's. This is the 2025 release, made in Kentucky in small batches.

Like every Shenk's, it's a sour mash whiskey, made by adding some of the previous batch's spent mash to the next. This year's whiskey spent time in specially selected barrels that push it towards toast and spice: burnt sugar, warm baking spice and honey on the nose; a rich, toasty palate of dried fruit, toffee and nougat; and a smooth finish where the spice fades slowly. It's bottled at 45.6%.
