Weller is a wheated bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. Wheat replaces rye in the mash, so it tastes softer and sweeter, with caramel, honey and vanilla. The range runs from Special Reserve (90 proof) and Antique 107 to Weller 12 Year, Single Barrel, Full Proof and the barrel-proof William Larue Weller. Weller is made in small amounts and shipped to stores on allocation.
Tip: Special Reserve is an easy everyday sipper. With the higher proof bottles, add a splash of water to open up the flavor. Most Weller bottlings arrive a few at a time, so what is in stock changes often.
