Casa Azul Organic Blanco is a USDA certified organic, 100% blue Weber agave tequila from a single estate in the Tequila Valley of Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.
Casa Azul was founded by Lance Collins and launched its tequila in 2023. It is now made at the La Roca distillery (NOM 1646) from agave about eight years old, grown without chemicals in volcanic soil. The agave is cooked in brick ovens, distilled twice in a copper pot still and rested two to three months in stainless steel.
Expect baked agave and ripe fruit with hints of herbs and minerals. Casa Azul says it adds nothing to change the taste, smell or color: no coloring, flavoring, sweeteners or glycerin.
It is one of the few USDA organic blancos we carry, and it is a different brand from Clase Azul despite the similar name.
