JaJa Blanco is a 100% agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, bottled at 40% alcohol in a 750ml bottle.
JaJa was founded in New York in 2018 by Maurice Tebele, Elliot Tebele and Martin Hoffstein, and the Chainsmokers later became co-owners. Since 2021 it has been produced with Proximo Spirits at La Rojeña (NOM 1122), the historic Jose Cuervo distillery in the town of Tequila. It is triple distilled and certified kosher by OK Kosher.
JaJa describes green apple and roasted agave with herbal notes and a cracked black pepper finish. Wine Enthusiast (Kara Newman) gives it 91 points for its coconut and lychee aromas, tropical fruit and black pepper tingle.
It is a smooth, fruit-forward blanco at an everyday price, a good step up for drinkers moving from mixto tequila to 100% agave.
